Rickyisms is the term devised by the fans of Trailer Park Boys for Ricky's malapropisms and eggcorns (substitution speech errors.) Most of Ricky's speech errors are idiomatic in nature resulting in a phrase (or word) that are linguistically incorrect, but phonetically similar. These slips of the tongue are often the result of Ricky's lack of education, and extensive use of drugs and alcohol, and situations where he may not be thinking clearly. Ricky's speech errors are possibly some of the most entertaining aspects of his character, and arguably of the entire show. Compiled below are several tables listing the different kinds of speech errors found throughout the Trailer Park Boys movies and television series. The use of "fuck off" with "make like a tree and..." is likely intentional, as Ricky is known to use "fuck off" in order to get people to go away and/or leave him alone.

The word "bumblecocksucker" is almost certainly intentional.

According to Merriam-Webster, "fire-retarded" is an actual word that means "protected with a fire-retardant material". However, as many of these entries are legitimate words, this still counts as a mistake since it's not what he intended to say.

"Zesty Mordant" is a linguistic error that's not exactly a mistake, relating to the fact that Sunnyvale is in Canada, where products are sold with both English and French labels. What happened is this particular bag of Doritos was sold with the English word "zesty" (meaning "spicy" or "full of life") and the French word "mordant" (which translates to "biting") in large text with the rest of the label in small text. So the English way of saying the name of these chips is "Zesty Cheese" and the French reads "Fromage Mordant", or "Biting Cheese".
